As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our client’s extensive range of products and services to both existing and prospective customers. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, your primary objective will be to forge and nurture professional relationships with clients, ensuring the continued expansion of the company’s presence in the market. Duties:

  • Comply with Quality, Health and Safety, HR and all other Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Support the Company’s overall mission by prioritising customer care and focusing on enhancing profitability and turnover.
  • Develop and manage effective Regional Marketing and Sales Strategies
  • Discover and grow profitable business opportunities with new customers and products.
  • Create, safeguard, and oversee the current customer portfolio and designated Regional Contacts.
  • Guarantee complete dedication to the Sales Department Charter, ensuring the accomplishment of all goals and objectives
  • Build / maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Fully commit to the Sales Management Systems and Procedures to ensure high standards of service for both external and internal customers.
  • Liaise with and maintain regular contact with the Sales Director on area sales opportunities and other related issues.
  • Plan and Track personal Sales Activity (call visits / video conference) to maximise effective use of time.
  • Develop and maintain relationships internally e.g. Credit Control, Procurement, EHS etc.
  • Carry out additional duties requested by your manager or Director.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within the Plant Hire Industry and a proven track record of achieving sales targets consistently in a competitive and high-pressure environment.
  • Highly organised and strong administration skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Able to prioritise workload.
  • Must be able to work to a tight schedule and reliably see-through tasks to completion.
