Depot Manager

Description 

A leading plant & tool hire company have partnered with Chantler Recruitment to search for an experienced branch manager to become a part of their well established team. Reporting directly to the depot general manager, you will run the hire office and transport schedule, working closely with the workshop, warehouse and driving teams to coordinate service delivery. As part of this, you will be involved in all the following activities:

• Ensuring best-in-class customer service by continuous monitoring of all interactions
• Managing the transport schedule to ensure a prompt same-day and next-day service
• Motivation, team building, training and development
• Helping, giving advice, solving problems, and building relationships with customers
• Checking contracts for accuracy and dealing with contract queries
• Signing-off all losses and damages
• Monitoring and checking stock levels
• Working with the wider management team to achieve company goals

Key skills

• A proven track record within the hire industry
• The enthusiasm to learn about the business and range of equipment
• The ability to multitask, working quickly and accurately under pressure
• A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skill
• A sense of humour
