Daily Duties

  • Maintain the safe working of the depot and its environment
  • Full P & L accountability for the depot 
  • Full accountability for all costs
  • Administration of all orders, off hires, exchange 
  • Full responsibility for staff, recruitment, and retention 
  • All purchasing through depot
  • Responsible for the workshop and safe testing and maintenance of equipment
  • All receipting throughout the depot
  • Admin of the depot 
  • GDPR within the depot
  • Pro-actively promoting the great service and equipment the company provides Helping grow existing accounts
  • Responsible for cash transactions, banking and cc transactions
  • Managing the customers’ expectations
  • Maintain and exceed the companies targets and KPI’s
  • Maintain effective client relationships and developing new ones
  • Identify new customers that enquire into the business
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Liaise with all transactional teams regarding invoice queries and customer complaints
  • General communication 

Requirements

  • Background knowledge within Tool Hire or Construction Equipment
  • Ability to learn and adapt 
  • Willing to learn and progress
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A confident and determined approach 
  • Previous management experience
  • Resilience
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with good time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem solver who applies novel techniques to solve issues; challenges long hold beliefs when necessary
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office proficient user 
  • Reliable Team player, who can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders 
  • Motivated to excel and perform the role to the best of their ability 
  • Confidence to suggest new ideas and listen to customer’s needs 
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment

Desirable   

  • Experience with Syrinx is desirable but not essential
