I am delighted to be partnering with the premier leader in the plant & tool hire industry, who provide hire equipment from their 11 divisions throughout the UK. They are looking to bring on a small tools fitter to join the team at their Waltham Cross Depot.   • Carry out PAT Testing on all electrical tools
  • Test and run electrical tools to ensure they are in good working order prior to hire
  • Tagging all electrical tools when test and run completed.
  • Service and Repair all Petrol and Diesel tools
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of products and full range of accessories
  • Assist in ensuring availability of Top 50
  • Completion of all test certificates and associated paperwork
  • Assist with general workshop duties
  • Driving duties during holidays and periods of absence.
  • Ensure workshop is clean, tidy and well organised

Key skills

  • A relevant mechanical/electrical qualification (or time served)
  • Significant experience in petrol and diesel contractor tools servicing and maintenance
  • Proven ability to test and run electrical tools
  • Current PAT testing certificate
  • Driving licence is preferred but not essential 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
